Human Beings in the Modern World
Breaking Echo Chambers (London)
Description
Social media is used to share memes, self-help tips and even video clips of wars. Their algorithms reinforce our homogeneous echo chambers, based on aspects like our political viewpoints, religion or education level.
Previous Demola teams have found that subtle calibration points within these echo chambers might be more effective than confrontation. So, the follow-up question is: how and when should they take place? How can we crack the walls of these echo chambers to provide calibration points for our worldviews?
