Sustainable Online Shopping

Description
When buying stuff online, people don’t necessarily think what kind of world tour the products will experience. Buying stuff from, for example, China rarely means the products are shipped straight from China to Europe, but may take long detours and stops along the way. As consumers, we rarely have any idea of this logistics chain. This is a major problem when it comes to sustainable thinking and choices. We are interested in creating demos and concepts of how the next-gen sustainable online buying experience works! In this project we are going to re-design the online buying experience for sustainably conscious consumers, focusing specifically on the logistics chain. How might we visualize the logistics chain for the consumer? What kind of options could the consumer have when ordering the products? How to compare the differences regarding sustainable logistics versus, for example, the fastest option? Join the project to create new value for sustainable logistics! We are looking for people interested in logistics, sustainability, UX design and service design.
