Description
Close to 5 million apps are available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (https://buildfire.com/app-statistics/). Some of these apps are designed for long-term use, while others are intended for on-demand use and may be deleted after just one or two uses.
Many longer-lasting apps, especially those used on both desktop and mobile devices, are work-related and require a paid license. This naturally encourages more frequent use, but it doesn’t necessarily make users a fan of the software or its user experience. Additionally, with the rapid pace of development in the software industry, what worked exceptionally well five years ago may not be as effective today.
With this in mind, how can a software provider stand out as a quality and trustworthy brand when over 1,000 apps are launched daily? How much do company values play a role in this, especially from the perspective of younger software users? What makes a software company stand out beyond great user experience: is it quality assurance, reviews, cybersecurity, 24/7 support, or something else?
Through this project, we aim to understand what factors build users' trust that the software they rely on for work will stand the test of time, particularly in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
