In our previous Demola projects, we have been playing around with an idea of using cameras with simple edge AI to recognise bad and good ergonomics and help especially experts working remotely at their homes to better their posture and general ergonomics. In this project, we want to dive deeper and look for other possible use cases and build a working prototype of the setup. What we have identified is the need for AI to be in the device itself, as using cloud-based AI models raises lots of cyber security and personal data issues. Also, the posture/ergonomics are relatively simple to analyse, so edge models could be an option. Some of the interesting use cases might include e-sports, traditional sports, customising physical products, etc. We are eager to explore more use cases and build the tech prototypes that would actually help people in their hobbies, work, or daily lives in the future. The team will have access to our previous results from this topic. We are looking for simple yet effective use cases for the edge AI camera tech and cool demonstrations on how they work.
