Value Creators of Tomorrow
With increasing urbanisation and financial challenges, rural areas are suffering from accessibility issues to public healthcare. In theory, it makes sense to centralise healthcare services to bigger units (like university hospitals), but as practice has shown, this creates inequality in access to the services and affects the service quality. At the same time, it doesn't make sense to maintain expensive healthcare infrastructure in every municipality and town. What if there were small, modular healthcare centres? How could they operate in these situations? What services could they provide, and how would they feel from the citizens’ perspective? Imagine a future with a few larger hospitals supported by a network of small, agile, modular healthcare centres distributed across healthcare districts. How would this change access to care and the way people receive treatment? We aim to develop a holistic concept for modular healthcare centres, exploring what they could offer citizens. We are looking for talents interested in healthcare, architecture, design, service design, and digitalisation to envision the future possibilities of modular healthcare centres.
