Description
Day by day it is harder to distinguish real news from the fake ones. Some fakes are made by accident, but increasingly they are made for specific purpose to distort the truth. As individuals we don’t have many tools verify the legitimacy of these news. Most journalists are doing their best in trying to help us to see what’s real and what has happened, but they are easily stifled by the sheer volume of online media content. In this project we want to continue exploring the topic of mis- and disinformation, and build concrete tools for the citizens to verify and better understand the information they read from the news.
How might we help people to understand and verify information they see online? How might we visualize the sources and people behind news stories? How could we design simple and intuitive user experience for such solution?
Join this project if you are fed up with mis- and disinformation or interested in journalism, software development, visual design, UI/UX design or communication!
