Body Cam For Construction

Description
Body cams have been in the news in the recent years as police officers around the world have started using them. After the initial resistance, this has shown to be positive addition as it protects the rights of both the police and citizens. What if we would implement similar body cams for construction workers? In construction business there are many situations where the documentation of the work done is very tedious. There is also possibility to hide possible mistakes and errors behind the walls and hope nothing bad happens. By increasing transparency, construction sector could create completely new business models for renovation, reusing and refurbishing older building when every step of the construction is documented. In this project we are creating concepts and first demo of a body cam for construction workers. The camera should document the work, but could it also support the worker in the daily tasks? What kind of added value could be imagined? How to make sure the body cams can withstand the rough conditions of a construction site? We are looking for students interested in camera tech, wearable tech, software engineering, construction, communication or product design.
