Description
Whether it is an ice hockey game, music festival or vappu, lots of people in a small area inevitably creates risky situations in which emergency help might be needed. Nowadays police, firemen and first responders are in these events to guarantee our safety, but they can’t see everything or be everywhere. What if we could use drone fleets to surveil and identify people in need in these crowds?
In this project we want to design and prototype safety drones for mass events. How might the drone fleet detect people in need of help? How can the drones help locating and supporting the people until the first responders find their way to the scene? What kind of “tools” could be attached to the drone to make it as useful as possible in these situations?
We are looking for students interested in first response, healthcare, drone tech, software engineering, mechanical engineering and product design!
