Electric vehicles are changing the way we see cars. They are not anymore just for transporting people and goods, but could potentially be used for so much more. In this project we want to explore the use of electric vehicles for professionals in the construction industry. Let’s assume we could have high-voltage power from our vehicles. This basically turns the vehicle into massive and mobile energy storage which can power all the necessary tools and machines the construction and renovation industry uses on daily basis. What is enabled if we have a fleet of these electric vehicles at our disposal? How would it change the daily work of professionals in the field? What new value could the small construction companies bring to their customers when thinking about the flexibility and mobility of their vehicles? What would the design for ultimate “construction industry electric vehicle” look and feel like? What kind of other functionalities it should have when considering connectivity?
