Art for the Prosumers

Description
The energy sector is generating data in growing numbers as consumers are becoming more interested of their consumption and especially production, where applicable. Usually, the way the data is communicated to consumers is through charts, numbers and dedicated interfaces that need interpretation and understanding to be valuable, leaving many overwhelmed and disappointed. As prosumerism (consumer & producer simultaneously) is trending upwards due to solar energy, it is time to explore revolutionary means of visualizing data to communicate it with excitement and enjoyment also for the non-engineers. If we get rid of all old-school data-reporting means, what kind of informational art could be created with modern tools? How might we deliver a data-consuming experience for any prosumer that one wants to see over and over again with delight? How far can the boundary be stretched from data reporting towards art creation while keeping the results meaningful? In this project, we take a psychedelic leap into futuristic data visualization and communication where there’s no limits and art is created from engineered numbers. Join us to explore and experiment how e.g., fractals, corals and mosaics could bend the way we look at data!
