Metaverse Gaming on Hyperdrive

Description
In 2016, the world was swept by a novel application of space-born data, geolocation, gluing many of us on our screens in the broad daylight. The phenomenon was Pokéemon Go, which provided something truly new for the field of gaming, accessible to everyone. Today’s super-immersive video games are of different breed what comes to fidelity, compared to Pokémon Go. So, how might the combination of novel data usage and modern video games look and feel like? How could space data (data gathered from earth-orbiting monitoring equipment) be coupled with modern gaming to generate unrivaled immersion and experience? What kind of new game mechanics can you imagine that is based on space data? Could different gaming modalities be combined creatively for a gaming experience extended outside gaming consoles and PC’s? If you want to try your wings at imagining and materializing utopic elements of gaming of tomorrow, this project is for you. No actual game development is expected, but demonstrations of wild, new game concepts and their mechanics even more.
