Make Me Care (Glasgow)

Description
Chronic stress, anxiety, and physical inactivity (to name a few) are becoming more common among the young. In less than 10 years, these teenagers will become adults, and we will all start to face the consequences—unless we do something about it right now. According to the WHO, half of all mental health disorders in adulthood have been developing since our teenage years. The problem is that they often go undetected and untreated (https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/adolescents-health-risks-and-solutions) But what if the younger generation started to pay more attention to their well-being before it’s too late? What are the barriers that prevent young people from seeking help or paying attention to their mental and physical well-being, and how can we overcome them? Additionally, what supportive elements could help the young keep track and inspire them to take better care of their health? Join this project to map out what healthy life means for the young and what different tools or services would motivate the young to proactively live such a life.
