Description
There are lots of situations where you would love to know where services, people or things are around you. Take for an example a massive crowd events where finding your friends is based mostly on luck and happy accident, or active calling and messaging. The same goes for opportunities you never knew were there. You could have had much better experience by selecting the right queue or knowing that your childhood friend was in the same event. 6G technologies promise an unprecedented opportunity to know where people, services and objects are in certain environment. The 6G network can “sense” everything around whether it is connected to the network or not. If we assume this tech works perfectly, what kind of new services could be imagined for big events, such as conferences, festivals or sports events?
How might we offer new kind of value for the visitors of these events through 6G sensing and positioning? What kind of easy-to-use interfaces we can imagine for such services? How would you utilize such opportunity as a spectator or visitor in these events?
There are of course the dystopic “the big brother is watching” scenarios, but we want to look past that into real, value-adding services that will truly help the customers. Join the project if you are interesting event services, positioning technologies or new business models in the event industry!
