Healthcare for Immigrants
Description
As the need for more immigrants increases, we need to be able to serve them better in Finland. One of their most basic needs is access to our extremely high-quality public healthcare system. Typically, the introduction to the Finnish healthcare system is quite general and standardised, largely due to a lack of information about the individuals and their specific needs. But what if we had all the necessary information about each person? How could we redesign the induction to the Finnish healthcare system for someone who doesn’t speak the language or know anything about it?
How could we offer basic healthcare services to immigrants moving to Finland alone (such as international students), assuming we have all the necessary data and information about them upon their arrival? How can we provide services if the service provider and the customer don’t share a common language, and the customer doesn’t understand how the Finnish healthcare system works? What could be the healthcare provider’s approach to welcoming immigrants to Finland?
Join us in preparing the healthcare services to warmly welcome immigrants from around the world to Finland!
