How might a western artist have a successful album launch in China? Test out with a real press kit how to create interest in China for a new album launch.

Background

Musicinfo distributes, promotes and markets the music of Western record companies and artists and arranges shows for them in China. Challenge

Entering to music market with a new album isn't easy for bands and artists. Streaming services have been saturated, KOL's & promoters has become huge business and each genre has their unique promotion channels and twists in marketing. How might a western artist reach Chinese listeners? What are the most effective (and cost effective) and appealing channels to reach out and grow the listener pool.

In this project you will receive a real press kit from a western artist and your task is to test out different means and channels to map out marketing opportunities. Contact promoters, record reviewers and test out social media marketing to see what works. What are your proposed cost-effective ways to reach new audience in different genres?
